Who Should Be the Amica Pitcher of the Week? The Red Sox went an impressive 6-1 on their road trip through the Midwest, sweeping a three-game set in Minnesota, then taking three of four from the White Sox in Chicago.

The pitching staff turned itself around, putting forth a stellar performance over the seven games. Each pitcher showed off some of his better stuff.

Josh Beckett had two outstanding outings on the trip, going 1-1 and allowing just five runs while striking out 13 over 12 2/3 innings.

Felix Doubront looked solid once again, picking up his first win of the season in a 10-3 victory over the White Sox.

Daniel Bard, meanwhile, picked up a pair of wins on the trip. Bard threw 2/3 of an inning in Minnesota, getting Boston out of a jam and locking down a 6-5 win to kick off the stretch. He then settled into a nice groove Saturday in Chicago, allowing just two runs and striking out six over seven solid innings of work.

Alfredo Aceves is another potential candidate for the honor, as the Red Sox closer recorded three saves — now with five on the season — in his last four outings. Aceves has not allowed a run in the four appearances and has struck out four batters, as the Red Sox have improved to .500 baseball.

So, after such a successful week for the Red Sox, who do you think deserves the Amica Pitcher of the Week honors?
