Brent Lillibridge Makes Red Sox Debut in Center Field While Mike Aviles Leads Off Against Aaron Laffey, Blue JaysBrent Lillibridge saw his first action in a Red Sox uniform on Monday night, replacing Cody Ross for defensive purposes in right field. Lillibridge will get his first start in Boston on Tuesday against the Blue Jays, though, playing in center field and hitting ninth in the Sox lineup.

Lillibridge, who came to the Red Sox as part of the Kevin Youkilis trade, was hitting just .175 in 49 games with the White Sox this year. His best season was arguably during 2011, when he hit .275 with 13 home runs and 29 RBIs in 97 games.

Shortstop Mike Aviles returns to the top of the Sox order, as the Boston bats turn their attention to Toronto's Aaron Laffey (0-0, 3.00 ERA), who will be making his first start of the season and first overall since July 19, 2010, when he was with the Cleveland Indians.

Daisuke Matsuzaka (0-2, 6.05) will be on the mound for the Red Sox in search of his first win on the season after failing to capitalize in each of his first three starts.
