Bruins' 2012-13 Schedule Released With B's Opening in Philadelphia, Hosting Rangers on Black FridayThe start of the NHL season is still roughly four months away and there is lingering unrest about a potential work stoppage, but the league released its 2012-13 calendar on Thursday.

The Bruins are tentatively scheduled to open the season on Oct. 11 in Philadelphia, the inverse of last season when they hosted the Flyers in the season opener.

The Bruins' schedule includes three homestands of five games or more, with one of those centering around Thanksgiving. The B's will continue their tradition of playing the day after Thanksgiving, and they'll host the Rangers on Nov. 23 for a Black Friday matinee.

The defending Stanley Cup champions, the Los Angeles Kings, will be in town on Dec. 17, with the B's heading west to write the latest chapter in their rivalry with the Canucks on Dec. 29.
