Clyde Drexler Says the Dream Team Just 'Felt Bad' for Magic JohnsonThe 1992 U.S. Men's Olympic Basketball Team, commonly referred to as the "Dream Team," wasn't exactly a group of the greatest friends. At least, that's not how Clyde Drexler feels about his former teammates, particularly Magic Johnson, who has overcoming HIV at the time.

Drexler was recently interviewed by Sport's Illustrated's Jack McCallum for his new book Dream Team. In the interview, Drexler took a shot at Johnson, saying the Lakers point guard was on the declining end of his career and that he only had success because everyone felt bad for him.

"And, really, he couldn't play much by that time. He couldn't guard his shadow," Drexler said. "But you have to have to understand what was going on then. Everybody kept waiting for Magic to die. Every time he'd run up the court everybody would feel sorry for the guy, and he'd get all that benefit of the doubt."

Drexler went on to contend that if everyone had known Magic would live as long as he has, Drexler would have beaten him out for MVP honors in the 1992 All-Star Game. Drexler also opined that Magic wouldn't have been on the Olypmic team if Michael Jordan hadn't felt sorry for him.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel, Clyde.
