Darrelle Revis Doesn’t Deny That He’ll Hold Out (Again), But Insists He’ll Be Ready for Season

Could Rex Ryan once again find himself asking no one in particular "Where's Revis?"

That could be the case as Darrelle Revis was asked about the potential of a holdout this season, to which he gave no concrete answer. The Jets cornerback is apparently once again unhappy with his contract.

He was asked about the contract Thursday when meeting with reporters.

"Here we go with the contract questions," he said, according to NFL.com. "I'm here. I'll be playing. I'm getting ready for this season, and that's all I can do. Anything with my contract, we'll deal with in the future."

So will Revis be in training camp?

"Just what I just told her. I'm getting ready for this year. I'm just getting ready for this year. That's all I can say right now."

Revis also added that "If something lingers, you will find out."

It's obviously a far cry from Revis outright stating that he intends to hold out, but Revis' history makes the situation a little more interesting. He, of course, held out in 2010. The holdout was a big story at the time, made even bigger by the fact that Jets training camp was being documented on HBO's Hard Knocks.

The two sides finally came to a new four-year, $46 million deal on Sept. 5 of that year, ending what was a 36-day holdout for the All-Pro. That deal reportedly had $32 million of guaranteed money in it.

Maybe this is the real reason the Jets brought in Tim Tebow, with hopes of turning him into a cornerback?

If Revis does hold out, what are the chances his return is this dramatic this time around?
