Dustin Pedroia Batting Second in Return to Red Sox Lineup, Jon Lester Looks to Bounce Back Against Orioles Dustin Pedroia is back in the Boston lineup after missing the team’s past six games with a lingering thumb injury.

The All-Star second baseman will be back manning his position in the middle infield and is slated to hit second in the order, batting behind Scott Podsednik. Podsednik will lead off for the Red Sox for the fourth time this season.

Robert Andino, who has killed the Red Sox in the past but has struggled against Boston this season — hitting .154 in six games — is leading things off for the Orioles. Shortstop J.J. Hardy, center fielder Adam Jones and catcher Matt Wieters round off the top of the order against Red Sox starter Jon Lester (3-4, 4.79), who allowed three runs in six innings during his only other start against Baltimore (May 4) this season.

Jason Hammel (6-2, 3.06) will be taking the mound for the O’s, looking to rebound from a tough outing where he allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings in a loss to Toronto last week.

Check out the lineups for both sides on Tuesday night at Fenway Park.
