Kevin Durant left it all on the court in the NBA Finals, tears very much included.

Durant was understanably upset following Thursday’s loss to Miami, which ended the Thunder’s season and gave the NBA title to the Heat.

The superstar’s emotion was most evident during a postgame moment in the tunnel following the loss. Durant could be seen crying as he embraced his mother, who has been her son’s biggest supporter since he arrived in the NBA in 2007.

The Heat capped off their championship season with a 121-106 victory on Thursday, which gives LeBron James his first ring. Durant even shared a moment with James on the court before heading back to the tunnel for the emotional moment.

“It hurts. It hurts, man. We’re all brothers on this team. It just hurts to go out like this,” Durant said after the game. “We made it to the Finals, which was cool for us, but we didn’t want to just make it there. … As a whole, I’m proud of the guys and how we fought all season. … I wouldn’t want to play for anyone else, I wouldn’t want to play for any other city.”

The focus now shifts to Durant when it comes to superstars chasing their first ring. It’s interesting to hear him say he wouldn’t want to play for “any other city,” though, given LeBron’s past.
