That being said, he does struggle from time to time with pronouncing words, sometimes names and especially names of Boston athletes.
The mayor was at it again Wednesday when he referred to Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo as “KJ” and “Hondo,” respectively. Those blunders just get added to the long line of flubs, along with the likes of “Varitek splitting the uprights” and “Wes Weklah.”
Unfortunately for Menino, there are a lot of athletes in Boston, and a lot of them are tricky to pronounce. So here’s a list of Boston athletes’ names who Mr. Mayor must be praying he never has to attempt.
