Report: Rockies Aggressively Trying to Trade Jeremy Guthrie, Blue Jays Interested in PitcherThe Toronto Blue Jays desperately need to add pitching depth. The Colorado Rockies are reportedly interested in trading right-hander Jeremy Guthrie. It sure seems like a good fit.

The Denver Post is reporting the Rockies are indeed aggressively shopping Guthrie, and it seems like they may have a trading partner in the Blue Jays. According to the report, Toronto would likely send a prospect to Colorado while also taking on the almost $5 million left on Guthrie's one-year deal.

Guthrie, who has twice led the league in losses during his career, has struggled this year as well in Denver. He's just 3-6 with a 7.02 ERA while giving up a league-leading 15 home runs despite missing some time due to injury.

The former Orioles starter does, however, have experience in pitching in the AL East, something that may make him more appealing to the Blue Jays. The Toronto rotation has also battled a string of injuries, especially as of late. Brandon Morrow is out for at least a month, while both Kyle Drabek and Drew Hutchison could both be looking at Tommy John surgery after suffering elbow injuries last week.
