Vote: What Is the Biggest Reason the Celtics Evened Up Their Series With the Heat? The Celtics were in dire straits coming back to Boston, trailing 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Miami Heat.

Even with home-court advantage, they were shorthanded and fatigued. Rajon Rondo‘s incredible Game 2 performance had been for naught as the Heat held on, and some were wondering whether Miami could be beat — much less for two games.

The story has changed now, though. Heading back to Miami, it’s a 2-2 series, and the C’s have shown that they know what schemes, matchups and personnel they need to get it done.

Games 3 and 4 both had times when it looked like the Heat would run away with the series, but Boston came out of both contests with the win. From stifling defense to bench players who were consistently a level above, the Celtics found keys to victory in their wins at the Garden.

Rondo continued to be a factor, but this time he was showing his main skill as a distributor. When he did score, it was at key moments to get the C’s back in the game.

Ray Allen also continued his ascent. He looks nothing like the player who struggled through the end of the season and Boston’s last playoff series, against the Philadelphia 76ers, as he battled pain in his ankle from bone spurs.

Many parts of the Celtics were clicking in Boston, but if you had to pick just one, what do you think was the biggest factor?
