While the Cubs don't exactly have anybody on the level of, say, a Josh Hamilton or a Matt Kemp, there are several appealing players wearing a Chicago uniform that might spark a decent amount of interest in Sox fans.
Starlin Castro is one of the best young shortstops in either league. He doesn't offer a ton in the power department, but is currently batting .292 on the season with 16 stolen bases.
Alfonso Soriano is decidedly not young, but he can still swing a mean bat. The outfielder is one of four men in history to join the 40-40 Club, and is hitting .276 with 12 homers and 41 RBIs this year.
The Red Sox found out firsthand on Friday what Ryan Dempster is capable of, and he has been just as successful during the entire season. While he's only 3-3, he has a sparkling 2.11 ERA.
Reliever Carlos Marmol and his 5.79 ERA might scare off some people, but two years ago, he struck out a mind-boggling 138 batters in only 77 2/3 innings pitched. The guy has absolutely filthy stuff.
Finally, there's Matt Garza. Sox fans are likely familiar with Garza from his days in Tampa, and Garza has adjusted fairly well to life in the Windy City, sporting a 4.04 ERA and 66 punchouts.
