Kevin Youkilis' Play Becoming 'Infectious' in Chicago As White Sox Continue to Roll (Video)It sure looks like Kevin Youkilis likes his new pair of Sox.

Youkilis, who was traded from Boston to Chicago on June 24, is fitting in very nicely with his new club on the South Side.

The third baseman looks rejuvenated with White Sox, as Youkilis continues to produce in Chicago. He took that to another level on Wednesday night when he lined a Mike Adams offering to left field in the 10th inning that brought Alejandro De Aza around to give the White Sox the win.

Youkilis is now hitting .306 in nine games since being traded to Chicago, and he's got a home run and nine RBIs to go along with that. He's also 6-for-14 in his last three games. In 42 games with the Red Sox this season, Youkilis hit just .233 with four home runs and nine RBIs.

And while his on-base percentage is only 27 points higher in Chicago, Youkilis is taking better at-bats, and that's something that may be rubbing off on his teammates.

"That at-bat really described it best," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said of Youkilis' game-winner, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "He's 0-2, he's just grinding and it's just continuous. That's the kind of stuff that is infectious throughout a lineup for us."

The White Sox are 6-3 since Youkilis joined the club, and they sit at 44-37 with a two-game lead in the AL Central.

Perhaps the biggest reason for Youkilis' turnaround is the chance to get to play every day. That's part of the reason, no doubt, but he's also enjoying the game again.

"It's a lot of fun playing baseball again," he said, according to the Sun-Times. "It's a good feeling to have."

The White Sox will go for a sweep of the AL-best Rangers on Thursday afternoon in Chicago.
