Most baseball players have to race backwards or even dive to catch up to deep fly balls. Josh Reddick, on the other hand, got underneath a near-home run ball with enough time to hang onto the outfield fence and wait for the ball to drop to him.

The Oakland Athletics right fielder scaled the outfield wall to grab Travis Snider‘s blast at the warning track in the bottom of the second inning against the Blue Jays on Wednesday night. When asked about the play, Reddick felt pretty heroic.

“Yes, I am part Spiderman,” Reddick told reporters after the game.

Reddick’s amazing catch wasn’t a key part of the Athletics’ victory, however, as Oakland beat the Toronto Blue Jays 16-0.
