Ray Allen Gives Up on Celtics Pride, Leaves Boston in the Dust by Joining Heat

There was something about playing for the Boston Celtics that apparently got really, really old for Ray Allen.

The future Hall of Famer has reportedly spurned Boston in favor of the Miami Heat, taking much less money to do so. Allen's decision has been met with mixed reactions across New England among C's fans, as some believe the UConn alum has turned his back on a fanbase that embraced him as soon as he got to Boston.

Regardless, the Celtics will have to make their latest attempt at Banner 18 without the sharp-shooting Allen.
