Report: Bruins 'Not in on' Rick Nash, Bobby Ryan SweepstakesBruins fans shouldn't expect Rick Nash or Bobby Ryan to be donning Black and Gold any time soon.

The Bruins are "not in on" the Nash and Ryan sweepstakes, according to ESPN.com's Jimmy Murphy.

According to Murphy, the Bruins and Ducks had "exploratory talks" regarding Ryan, but Boston general manager Peter Chiarelli made it known that David Krejci and Milan Lucic are not available, meaning a deal is probably unlikely.

Nash, whose name has also been tossed around in trade rumors and whose list of teams he'd accept a trade to includes the Bruins, also appears off the radar for Boston. The B's have reportedly dropped out of the running for the Columbus forward, as the Blue Jackets' asking price has been considered too high.

These reports don't come as much of a surprise. Despite speculation and cries from some B's fans to go after a scorer like Nash or Ryan, the cost of acquiring such a player remains through the roof. The asking price for Nash appears to be especially high, with the Blue Jackets reportedly requesting any combination of Krejci, Lucic, Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton in exchange for the five-time All-Star.

Sometimes, it's better to just walk away from the table with what you have, and it appears the Bruins are willing to do that.
