The C's are willing to double whatever the Heat offer Allen, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard. They're reportedly willing to give Allen $12 million over two years, although they've yet to make an official offer.
The Grizzlies have reportedly offered Allen a two-year, $5 million deal, and the Suns, Clippers, Hawks and Mavericks are all rumored to be interested in the free-agent guard as well. Of course, that is in addition to the reported mutual interest that exists between Allen and the Heat.
According to Broussard, the Heat can only offer Allen $3 million a year, meaning the Celtics have the upper hand in that department. Allen's decision hinges on more than financial particulars, though.
As Broussard reports, Allen is weighing three factors, including his chances of competing for title, his role on the team and the money he's offered.
