Report: Martin Brodeur Staying With Devils, Agrees to Two-Year Contract With New JerseyMartin Brodeur is going to play hockey next season, and he's going to do so in New Jersey.

The longtime Devils goalie will return — for the next two years — after signing a new contract with New Jersey, according to Renaud Lavoie of RDS in Montreal. According to the report, Brodeur's contract is a two-year deal worth $9 million.

Brodeur is coming off another impressive season in his surefire Hall of Fame career. The 40-year-old posted a 2.41 goals against average in the regular season and turned things on in the playoffs, going 14-9 with a 2.12 GAA and a shutout. Had the Devils got by the Kings in the Cup Final, Brodeur would have likely been one of the top choices to win the Conn Smythe.

The Star-Ledger reports that the free agent goalie had also received interest from the Blackhawks and Maple Leafs.
