Bill Belichick Views Training Camp Fights as Part of Football, Doesn't Plan on Breaking Them UpIf more fights break out at Patriots training camp, don't expect Bill Belichick to get involved.

It's not because the New England head coach isn't taking notice, but rather he understands that fights are part of what happens this time of year.

"Football is competitive. We're in a competitive camp," Belichick said. "It's part of football. I don't think it's a big deal."

That seems to be the overall sentiment in the Patriots locker room following a heated practice on Wednesday that included a few minor dust-ups and one between Nate Solder and Brandon Spikes during an 11-on-11 drill that quickly escalated. But while the Solder-Spikes altercation grabbed headlines Thursday, it's still relatively tame in Belichick's eyes.

"I've seen a lot worse," Belichick said. "I try to stay out of the way and not get hit…I'll be the last one to try to break that up. They'd probably all go after me."

Despite Belichick's apparent fear, it's probably safe to assume that nobody's touching him any time soon.
