Bryce Harper Trying to Find 'Mellowness' at Plate, 'All Over the Place Right Now'Bryce Harper's rookie season started off with a bang, but the fireworks are quickly falling back down to earth.

Harper's numbers are now rather pedestrian, as the 19-year-old hit just .222 with one home run in July while getting on base at a .306 clip. It's obvious that Harper is not locked in at the plate, and he alluded to that while talking with The Washington Post.

"I'm all over the place right now," Harper said. "So I'm trying to find some mellowness at the plate and in the box. Just trying to work at it every day and try to take something good from every at-bat and take something good from every game."

Certainly not a clown response, bro. But mellowness? Interesting terminology from the Nationals phenom. Also, the idea of Harper being "all over the place" isn't an appealing one for Washington.

For the Nats' sake, hopefully, Harper will find said "mellowness" real soon.
