Fan Witnesses Two Perfect Games in First Two MLB Games He's Ever AttendedThere have been 23 perfect games in Major League Baseball history. Fortunately for Bode Dockal, two of them occurred during the first two games he's ever attended in person.

Paul Dockal brought his son Bode –– who is nine months old –– to Safeco Field on April 21. That afternoon, he was treated to a show when White Sox pitcher Philip Humber threw a perfect game against the Mariners.

The opportunity to watch history unravel was a memorable moment for the Dockal family, who hail from the Chicago area and are avid White Sox fans.

But lightning would strike twice for them. Nearly four months since the momentous game, Paul and Bode returned to Safeco Field on Aug. 15 for their second game of the season and witnessed Felix Hernandez toss a perfect game.

"It’s one of those things that, I don’t think he could understand how important it was for me to be with him until he has a son of his own," Paul told MLB.com.

The odds of attending two perfect games in one's first two trips to an MLB game are improbable, but now, Bode will have a story to share when he grows up.
