Red Sox Look to Cool Down Ian Kinsler as They Host Rangers for Three-Game SetEditor's note: The temperature gauge is a Bill James-created statistic that measures how hot or cold hitters are. We will spotlight Red Sox and opposing team temperatures on game days.

The Red Sox finally got back in the win column on Sunday after dropping four in a row. The task only becomes more difficult, however, as the Rangers invade Fenway Park for a three-game set.

If the Sox are to have any success against Texas, they'll need to cool down Ian Kinsler, who has been red hot of late. The talented second baseman got the day off Sunday, but he's hitting .526 (10-for-19) with two home runs and four RBIs in five August contests.

On the Red Sox' side, it's Adrian Gonzalez who is swinging a hot bat. The first baseman is riding a five-game hitting streak, during which he is hitting .471 (8-for-17). On Sunday, Gonzalez showed that the power is still there, cracking his 11th home run of the season in the win.
