Daniel Snyder and the Washington Redskins are notoriously big spenders. You have to generate revenue somehow.

Apparently the Skins are running out of ideas to generate that revenue, as Washington is now selling commemorative T-shirts for a preseason game.

That's because the Redskins are getting ready for the preseason game to (hopefully) end all preseason games — the granddaddy of them all.

For the small price of $35, Joe Football Fan can get a cotton T-shirt featuring what is sure to be the Aug. 25 preseason war between the Skins and the Indianapolis Colts. The matchup of those two cellar dwellers from a year ago is noteworthy, of course, given the two teams' starting quarterbacks. It will be the first NFL meeting between Washington's Robert Griffin III and Indy's Andrew Luck.

The Washington online team store is already calling it a rivalry, which is pretty awesome. Of course, it would be much more of a rivalry if the Colts still called Baltimore home. Then again, nothing screams "NFL rivalry" like two last-place teams with rookie quarterbacks meeting in a preseason game.

When you look at it that way, $35 is nothing to come away with a souvenir that proves you were piece of football history.

Check out the shirt in the photo below with a tip of the commemorative hat to the Washington Post.
