Ryan Kalish Returns to Red Sox Lineup With Aaron Cook on Mound in Search of SweepA couple of young faces are back at Fenway Park, but only one of them will be starting for the Sox on Wednesday.

Ryan Kalish is batting eighth and playing right field as he makes his return to the big leagues, filling in for the injured Ryan Sweeney. Catcher Ryan Lavarnway, who was just called up from Triple-A Pawtucket, will not be behind the plate to start things, but could be called upon to pinch-hit later in this one.

Meanwhile, on the pitching end, Aaron Cook will look to extend the team’s winning streak to five games after capturing a rain-soaked W on Tuesday. Countering for Detroit in the hopes of salvaging a win out of the Tigers’ trip to Fenway will be Rick Porcello, the young right-hander.

If the Sox can win their fifth straight, it will be the team’s first sweep of the Tigers at Fenway since 2004. Check out the starting lineups for both teams below.
