Tommy Kelly Rips Kevin Kolb, Calls Cardinals Quarterback 'Scared,''Skittish'Kevin Kolb isn't really that good.

No, it's not because he royally messed with my fantasy football team last season. It's because his production simply hasn't been there, despite the quarterback receiving a nice payday from the Cardinals prior to last season.

Raiders defensive tackle Tommy Kelly thinks there's some glaring reasons for Kolb's struggles at the helm, including the quarterback's overall demeanor and mindset.

"He is skittish. He is scared back there," Kelly told reporters of Kolb following Oakland's 31-27 loss to Arizona on Friday. "Anytime anybody gets close to him he starts looking at the refs. As a defensive lineman you love a quarterback like that. He ain't even trying to look at the routes no more. He is paying attention to us and you ain't going to get nothing done like that."

Well, that's not exactly a ringing endorsement. Fortunately for Kolb, Kelly's opinion in this case doesn't really matter. Otherwise, John Skelton would have just been handed the starting quarterback job out in the desert.

Kolb finished 3 of 6 for 22 yards in Friday's game while getting sacked three times. Skelton, meanwhile, complete all three passes he threw for 23 yards.

Head coach Ken Whisenhunt wasn't ready to make a quarterback decision after the game, but don't be surprised if he goes with the guy who isn't "scared" and "skittish."
