Replacement Officials Blow Steven Jackson Touchdown Call, Leaving NFL Lucky That Rams Still Win (Video)The replacement officials were at it again on Sunday. When will this national nightmare end?

With the Rams trailing 14-3 midway through the second quarter, Steven Jackson scored a touchdown from one-yard-out. At least, that’s what he thought. That’s what it looked like on replay too, but according to the NFL’s replacement officials, he hadn’t. Jackson then got frustrated, spiked the ball and was called for a fifteen yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. With 4th-and-16 now looming, the Rams settled for a field goal.

Luckily for the NFL, the Rams were able to make a comeback in the second half, and beat the Redskins 31-28 in a shootout. That was without Jackson, who Rams head coach Jeff Fisher decided to bench after his costly show of emotion.

The running back is sick of the replacement officials, fans are sick of the replacement officials, even former NFL Vice President of Officiating Mike Pereira is sick of the replacement officials. Check out his tweet below after he watched the replacement crews all day.

It won’t be long before a bad call ultimately costs a team a victory. During Sunday’s Patriots game, there was a questionable holding call on Rob Gronkowski that negated a potentially game- winning long-touchdown run by Danny Woodhead. The call on Gronkowski could have gone either way, but calls like that are more glaring when they aren’t being made by the NFL’s regular officiating crews.

The NFL and their officials need to come to an agreement before this situation turns serious.
