was never expected to fill Matt Cassell's shoes in the Kansas City Chiefs offense, but he also wasn't expected to be selling them.

Just a few months after starting six games at quarterback for the Chiefs, Palko has apparently found himself in the middle of South Dakota selling shoes. According to Palko's Wikipedia profile page, the 29-year-old backup quarterback is "a former American football quarterback who is currently employed at Payless Shoes in Aberdeen, South Dakota."

There has been no confirmation made of the claim, but looking at Palko's numbers from his six starts in 2011 it might be a good career move.

Palko, who has bounced between six different teams, including two CFL franchises, during his five year professional career, completed just 59 percent of his passes while throwing just two touchdowns to seven interceptions during his run as the Chiefs starter.

The profile update may merely be a cruel joke, but taking a second look at his stats Palko should at least be looking for a new profession because, it seems things just aren't working out at quarterback.
