Asante Samuel Says Fans Better Cheer For Him in Return to PhiladelphiaAsante Samuel has never been one to give a dull interview. That trend continued ahead of his return trip to Philadelphia this weekend, as he did an entire interview while still wearing his helmet.

Despite Samuel's pesky chin strap making its way over his mouth on several occasions during the press session, he was able to send a message to Eagles fans everywhere: they better cheer for him … or else.

"Oh, they better cheer for me," said the Falcons cornerback. "They gon' cheer for me or we gon' have a problem right there in Lincoln Financial stadium.

"All y'all fans: all I did for y'all, y'all better cheer for me. Deuce [Samuel] here, ain't got nothing but love for ya."

Samuel, who broke into the league with the New England Patriots and was a member of the 2003, 2004 and 2007 Super Bowl teams, played four seasons with the Eagles. He started 55 of 56 games for Philadelphia, intercepting 23 passes and scoring three touchdowns.

As far as the helmet goes, Samuel's answer was pretty unclear.

"I've got a little personality issue so this is how I gotta do my interviews," said Samuel. "I'm just trying to humble myself down, make sure I don't expand too much. My personality issues kicking in."

While it is unclear what exactly he means by "personality issues," it is clear that he has no issue covering receivers.
