Lolo Jones Trains With Olympic Bobsledders As Coach Holds Tryout for 2014 TeamLolo Jones fans who are upset about not being
able to watch their favorite hurdler compete for four years may
not have to wait that long.

Jones, who made headlines in London this past summer with her controversial Twitter presence and some shocking statements, is now hoping she can do something in the winter that she couldn't do in the Summer Games — win a gold medal.

The Olympic hurdler, who fell short in London despite a huge media presence leading up to the Games, has been training with the U.S. bobsled team. Coach Todd Hayes invited several track and field stars to train in the bobsled program to see if one of them was a natural at using their speed on the icy track — and Jones may just be his girl.

During the first selection race, Jones was able push her pilot, Jazmine Fenlator, to a time of 1:57 on the training course, a time just slightly behind the lead group.

"I'm coming in here trying to learn everything quickly," Jones told Sports Illustrated. "I'm looking forward to fixing some things and hammering it out."

Jones has a long way to go to qualify for the Winter Games, but this could be her chance at redemption after falling short last summer.
