Report: Red Sox, Larry Lucchino to Begin Managerial Search on FridayLadies and gentlemen of Red Sox Nation: start your hot stove engines.

The Red Sox are taking their first step in finding a manager for the 2013 season and beyond, according to ESPN.com.

The Sox "plan to begin their search for a new manager on Friday, which is when CEO Larry Lucchino is expected to return to Boston after a trip to Europe," according to Gordon Edes' unnamed baseball source.

While there have been a few rumors on who the Sox will be targeting, Edes claims that a team source is telling him that Blue Jays manager John Farrell was "at the top of the list" of candidates.
