The Patriots finally finished a football game, even if it took them longer than they may have liked.
Rob Ninkovich got some help from Jermaine Cunningham in sacking Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, but it was Ninkovich that forced a fumble that clinched the game for New England.
The Patriots got the ball first in overtime, but the offense wasn't able to finish the game with a touchdown, settling for a field goal instead. As the Jets were driving down the field in their overtime possession, it looked like it might be another late game disaster for New England. Ninkovich and Cunningham came to the rescue and the Patriots' young defense finally got their moment to shine.
We can only hope that it's a harbinger of good things to come for New England, who have struggled to close this year. It may not have been pretty, but the Patriots got the win.
