The Yankees are battling the Orioles for the AL East, but on Tuesday night, it was a different kind of bird that proved the most meddlesome.

A small bird interrupted the 12th inning of the Yankees' game against the Red Sox, when it settled near second base and refused to leave. When a Yankees Stadium groundskeeper came out to corral it with a bucket, the bird was able to escape.
