Red Sox Nation may not have been successful in placing a curse on the new Yankee Stadium. However, the team has left a semi-permanent mark on the Bronx Behemoth.

Remember when it was reported that a construction worker placed a David Ortiz jersey in concrete at Yankee Stadium? Ultimately, the jersey was dug out of the ballpark for if no other reason than to avoid silly off-field distractions and talks of curses. However, repairing the area that was dug out hasn’t been nearly as timely as removing the jersey, itself.

According to NESN.com’s Dan Duquette, Jr., the area where the jersey was placed has still yet to be repaired. With all the revenue Yankee Stadium generates, you’d think they would have gotten around to that by now, but apparently it hasn’t been a priority.

For Red Sox fans, they’re probably just hoping it provides a place for New York to hide after a future playoff loss.
