Rob Ryan Emulates Rex Ryan in Guaranteeing Win Over Undefeated Falcons on Sunday NightWe all know that Jerry Jones is in charge of the Dallas Cowboys, but sometimes it's difficult to tell who's second in command.

Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was acting like Dallas' head coach on Friday when he guaranteed a victory over the undefeated Atlanta Falcons. Typically, it's up to head coaches — like Ryan's twin brother, Jets head coach Rex Ryan — to predict such achievements. But the Cowboys' long-haired defensive coach told the Star-Telegram that the Cowboys are better than their record shows.

"We need to win now," Ryan said. "That's what we're going to do. I know
the record is not what we want it to be, but the ball is bouncing
strange ways. When that thing starts evening out, we're going to be
great, and we're going to keep playing. We've got to win this week, and
we know it, and we're going to."

You have to wonder what Dallas' real head coach, Jason Garrett, thinks of all of this. Imagine how Bill Belichick would react if either of his coordinators — Josh McDaniels or Matt Patricia — went to the press with such proclamations.

While it seems that Rex's predictions, promises and guarantees never exactly pan out for the Jets, we'll see how Rob fares with his crystal ball.
