Bruins sign Nokelainen
The Bruins signed forward Petteri Nokelainen to a multi-year contract. Nokelainen posted seven goals and 10 points in 57 games for the B's last season.
Bruins select Colborne with 16th pick
The Bruins selected 18-year-old Calgary native Joe Colborne, the leading scorer in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League playoffs, with the 16th overall pick in this year's NHL Entry Draft.

Ward up
On the heels of Chuck Kobasew's multi-year contract, the Bruins signed defenseman Aaron Ward to one as well. The New York Rangers traded Ward to Boston in February 2007 and he has been a veteran presense on the blue line.
