Woodbine Mile win sends Rahy's Attorney to Breeders' Cup
Rahy's Attorney, ridden by Slade Callaghan, took the lead on the turn for home and went on to win Sunday's $1 million Woodbine Mile at Woodbine Racecourse. Odds-on favorite Kip Deville, 2007 Breeders' Cup Mile champ, faltered down the stretch to finish off the board.
Kip Deville one to catch in Woodbine Mile
Kip Deville, winner of the 2007 Breeders' Cup Mile, is the 6-5 morning-line favorite for Sunday's $1 million Woodbine Mile. The race is one of the "Win and You're In" events that guarantees a spot for the winner in the $2 million Breeders' Cup Mile at Santa Anita on Saturday, October 25.
Curlin's next start at Belmont Park
Leading thoroughbred Curlin will make his next start in the $750,000 Jockey Club Gold Cup on Saturday, September 27 at Belmont Park. Majority owner Jess Jackson made the announcement Thursday morning.
