- At I-95/Route 128, go North or South (depending on approach route) to I-90 East Massachusetts Turnpike to Boston (partial toll road)
- Head northeast on I-90 E/Massachusetts Turnpike/Mass Pike
- Take exit 18 on the left toward Cambridge
- Merge onto Cambridge St
- Turn right at Soldiers Field Rd
- Continue on Storrow Dr
- Take the exit toward US-1 S/Fenway
- Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Riverway/Boylston St Outbound
- Slight right at Boylston St
- Turn right at Yawkey Way

Take I-93 to Storrow Drive/Charlesgate Overpass:
- Shift from Route 3 to I-93, or continue on I-93 past I-95/Route 128
- Take exit 26 to merge onto RT-28 S/RT-3 N/Storrow Dr toward RT-28 S/Storrow Dr
