Red Sox Minor League

Major rivalry brews in minors
Although the New York Yankees are fading fast this summer, the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees continue to heat up the storied rivalry as the 2008 Governor's Cup is under way.
Honors abound in Pawtucket
With the PawSox heading into postseason play, outfielder/first baseman Jeff Bailey and pitcher Charlie Zink were honored with International League MVP and Most Valuable Pitchers honors, respectively.
Pauley leading Pawtucket
The Pawtucket Red Sox are having a strong season on the farm. Perhaps the most significant reason for their success is right-handed pitcher David Pauley.
Armed with young guns
Star pitching prospect Michael Bowden may not be moving on from Triple-A Pawtucket in the immediate future. But he and some other minor league Sox provide plenty of hope for the farm system down the road.
Still pawing at first place
Not even the rock-solid Devern Hansack could put the PawSox back in first place in the International League's Northern Division this week. Right now, it's the Yankees' race to lose.
