Back on track
After getting swept by the Rays, the Red Sox turned to Jon Lester to turn things around against the Yankees. Lester responded with a five-hit, complete-game shutout.
What a relief
Last season, righty Mike Timlin supplied the Red Sox with 50 appearances out of the bullpen and compiled a 3.42 ERA. Thankfully, Timlin is off the DL and ready to help out a struggling bullpen.
On the road again
If not for J.D. Drew's incredible month of June and the resurgence of Dustin Pedroia's bat, who knows where the Red Sox would be entering this Fourth of July weekend.

For the first time in a long time, both the Red Sox and Yankees are looking up in the AL East. Don't be surprised if this weekend's four-game series in New York features some October intensity.
