Tim Tebow Uses Twitter to Respond to Merril Hoge's Criticism Tim Tebow is one of those athletes that just about everyone has an opinion on. And more often than not, the range of those opinions is pretty wide, and you either side on one side of the spectrum or the other.

ESPN’s Merril Hoge is on the end that seem to think Tebow’s candidacy to win the Broncos’ starting quarterback job is a joke — at least for now.

Hoge, for whatever reason, used Twitter to rip into Tebow’s passing abilities on Tuesday. Apparently, just breaking down film of the Broncos wasn’t enough for Hoge. He decided to share his thoughts with his almost 33,000 followers.

“[Kyle] Orton or Tebow?” read one of the tweets. “It’s embarrassing to think the broncos could win with tebow!!”

He wasn’t done there.

“Orton or tebow? QB play is not just about who works hard gives rare rare college speeches or who is a good guy!! Because orton works hard”

Tebow responded, as only Tim Tebow can.

“Hey Merril……” a tweet from Tebow’s official Twitter feed read. ” ‘ppreciate that.”
