Bruce Pearl Says He Misses 'Dumbass' Lane Kiffin to Distract Fans From His Mistakes Bruce Pearl has found himself in hot water over the past couple of months, getting busted for recruiting violations that resulted in a subsequent suspension and pay cut.

Boy, does he miss Lane Kiffin.

The Tennessee basketball coach was rather candid in a speaking engagement this week, telling those in attendance at the Knoxville Quarterback Club that the former Volunteers football coach used to mess up quite often, thereby minimizing the problems of the basketball team.

"I've made mistakes — I clearly did," Pearl said, according to KnoxNews.com. "But what I was hoping for was that some other dumbass would get on the front page and take me off the hook. I miss Lane Kiffin.''

Kiffin, of course, bolted to take the USC job just one year after vowing his unwavering allegiance to Tennessee. The Tennesse crowd, unsurprisingly, erupted in laughter.

Penguins fans are nothing if not loyal. No matter what Sidney Crosby does on the ice, the only people who criticize him are those who are jealous that the 23-year-old star doesn't play for their favorite team.

"If you guys hate sidney crosby soooooooooo much why do you write stories about him 24/7? And please if you call that dirty you must think everything is a dirty hit. So what if he tripped him. I bet all of you have tripped at least one person in your life and did anyone call you a dirty person. I bet your answer is no. So if you hate him this much stop talking about him."
