Ed Reed Tells Radio Station He's Playing With Torn Labrum in Shoulder, 'Maybe' Affecting GameThe Ravens' defense has been obliterated by injuries this season.

Star safety Ed Reed is the latest Baltimore defender to be diagnosed with an injury. He told Glenn Younes of 105.7 The Fan that he's been playing with a torn labrum in his shoulder. The eight-time All-Pro may have been stating the obvious when he said it may be affecting his game.

Add Reed's ailment to an already lengthy list. Ray Lewis has been lost for the season with a torn tricep, Ladarius Webb is also out for the year with a torn ACL, Terrell Suggs has been out all season with a torn achilles and Haloti Ngata sprained his MCL on Sunday. Those are likely the five best players on Baltimore's defense.

The injury hasn't been directly affecting Reed's usual playmaking ability. He has two inteceptions, one touchdown and a fumble recovery for the seaon.

Lewis and Webb's season-ending ailments may force players like Reed, Ngata and Suggs to play through injuries when they usually wouldn't. There's no word on when Reed suffered the torn labrum, but it will surely be pointed to anytime he's not playing like his usual self on the field.
